Compliance Management

The shipping industry is regulated by requirements and regulations, such as those defined by ISM Code, ISO, SOLAS, TMSA, classification societies, vetting inspections by oil companies, or Port State Control.

The associated administrative work involved in complying with such rules and regulations can often be burdensome. GL ShipManager - Compliance Management supports management processes and significantly reduces the administrative burden, making it easier and more cost-efficient to ensure compliance while simultaneously achieving a higher level of safety on your ships.

Safety and quality management
ISM Code requirements are represented in the GL ShipManager system. The system makes processes more transparent and manages information more effectively to significantly support the development, implementation and documentation of your safety and quality management systems.

Incident management
A workflow-oriented tool for the recording, analyzing, and documenting of incidents and occurrences including the resulting actions taken, also enabling the easy generation of reports. Efficiently analyze an occurrence, identify the causes, and determine what courses of action to take to improve processes and prevent a recurrence, all the while documenting the entire process.

Easier Compliance
Pre-loaded checklists and documents (ILO, IACS, etc.), as well as an interface to GL Rules Pilot make it easy to keep up with new and changing requirements that affect your fleet. Vessel certificates are intelligently managed, and the monitoring of expiration dates automated. An interface to GL's Fleet Online information system provides ship owners and managers with quick access to the complete survey status of their GL classed fleet.
